I read 100+ books in 2017, and so I wanted to share some of my favorites with you!
If you’re anything like me, it’s VERY difficult to try and pick a “favorite” book, because there are so many different books I’ve enjoyed for many different reasons. Sometimes I’m in the mood for fiction, sometimes non-fiction, sometimes an autobiography about the inner workings of life as a chef in a fancy NYC restaurant (free on Kindle Unlimited), sometimes a classic murder mystery about finding a killer in a small farming community in Australia ($4.99 on Kindle), sometimes a political thriller that pits a hacker vs a US Senator (free on Kindle Unlimited), or maybe a book about the opiate epidemic in America ($2.99 on Kindle), or maybe a book written about entrepreneurship and running a startup that describes my business life better than anything I’ve ever read ($13.24 on Kindle), or historical fiction that plants you inside The Protestant Reformation and written by an International Bestselling Author ($15.99 on Kindle), or maybe this fantastic book written by a friend of mine that encourages Christians in their calling to create ($2.99 on Kindle, and mentions yours truly!), and, well, on it goes…
Those books linked to above, in order, are:
1) Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly – Anthony Bourdain
3) The Short Drop – Matthew Fitzsimmons
4) Dreamland: The True Tale of America’s Opiate Epidemic – Sam Quinones
5) The Hard Thing About Hard Things: Building a Business When There Are No Easy Answers – Ben Horowitz
6) A Column of Fire – Ken Follett
7) Called to Create – Jordan Raynor
Anyway, I wouldn’t necessarily rank those books as #1-#7 of the year, because I’ve read so many great books in 2017, and they all hit the spot in different ways, but I hope you might get some good book recommendations by checking out those books above or (most) of the books I read by checking out these 101 books I read in 2017 on GoodReads.
